In this blog we will learn how to play the major 7th shell chords with the root on the 6th, 5th, 4th and the 3rd strings in order.
What Are Major 7th Shell Chords?
Before we get into it, let's quickly recap on what the major 7th shell chord is to begin with.
Simply put, we build a major 7th chord first by stacking the root, major 3rd, perfect 5th, and the major 7th notes of a scale.
Next, we omit the perfect 5th, leaving us with the root, major 3rd, and the major 7th notes. This creates the major 7th shell chord.
Now that we have that out of the way, let's learn how to play them.
