Dominant 7th Shell Chords

In this blog we will learn how to play the dominant 7th shell chords with the root on the 6th, 5th, 4th and the 3rd strings in order.

What Are Dominant 7th Shell Chords?

Before we get into it, let's quickly recap on what the dominant 7th shell chord is to begin with.

Simply put, we build the 7th chord by stacking the root, major 3rd, perfect 5th, and the minor 7th notes of a scale.

Next, we omit the perfect 5th, leaving us with the root, major 3rd, and the minor 7th notes. This creates the dominant 7th shell chord.

Now that we have that out of the way, let's learn how to play them.
